As the weather continues to warm some of Myrtle Beach’s biggest events begin to take shape, adding plenty of other great fun family things to do throughout the area. If you’ll be in Myrtle Beach anytime this spring, you’re going to want to check out these great events happening along the Grand Strand!
Horry County Fair | April 20 – 29
Enjoy all of the classic games, food, and rides at the Horry County Fair, kicking off on Friday, April 20. There’s no shortage of excitement and fun for all ages at this family-friendly fair, including kiddie rides, a Ferris wheel, carnival games, delicious food, a petting zoo, pig races, and more! The fair starts at 5 pm on weekdays and 12 pm on weekends. Cost of admission starts at $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 5-11.
Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival | April 20 – 22
From seafood to cupcakes, this year’s Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival is sure to be a hit with over 30 unique food trucks lined up at Pavilion Place in downtown Myrtle Beach, located between 8th and 9th Avenues North in Myrtle Beach! Just a handful of the food truck delicacies you can choose from includes Let’s Ride BBQ, Trojan Cow, The Holy City Cupcakes, and Brooklyn Boyz Pizza.
Times for the Food Truck Festival is as follows:
- Friday: 6 pm – 9 pm
- Saturday: 11 am – 7 pm
- Sunday: 11 am – 6 pm
Earth Day Festival – Brookgreen Gardens | April 21
Combining the Spring Garden Festival and the Plantacular Sale, this year’s Earth Day Festival at Brookgreen Gardens is sure to bring out the green thumb in everyone! Garden demonstrations and a spring plant sale will be happening throughout the day. There will also be delightful workshops for kids with nature and conservation stations, guided tours, take-home crafts, and live animals! Tickets start at $18 for adults ages 13-64 and $10 per child ages 4-12.
Mayfest on Main Festival | May 12
Head to downtown North Myrtle Beach Saturday, May 12 to celebrate the month of May and the arrival of summer! This outdoor event is perfect for all ages, with live entertainment, music, and tons of food and crafts vendors set up for everyone to enjoy. There will even be a kids area! Mayfest on Main runs from 10 am to 6 pm, with a variety of bands and artists taking to the stage throughout the day. Admission is free.
World Famous Blue Crab Festival | May 19 – 20
For two days, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy fresh, local seafood from various waterfront restaurants from the area. This family-friendly event regularly draws nearly 50,000 people each year, with live music, 300 vendors specializing in food, crafts, and arts, and a kids zone for the little ones to enjoy throughout the day. Advance tickets start at $4 for adults and children 12 and under are free. The Blue Crab Festival starts at 9 am and ends at 6 pm both Saturday and Sunday.
