If you’re staying in one of South Bay’s brand NEW rooms or suites, then you’re only a quick walk from many Myrtle Beach Boardwalk shops & attractions. The Boardwalk is located in central Myrtle Beach and has one of the best views on the Grand Strand! We’ve put together a list of shops & attractions along the Boardwalk you’ll want to stop by while you’re visiting Myrtle Beach.

Places to Shop on The Boardwalk

The Gay Dolphin

The Gay Dolphin Gift Cove is one of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk shops that has been around since the 1940s. This Myrtle Beach gem has an ample selection of beachwear, shells, decor, shark’s teeth and more! But, it’s more than just a shopping experience, inside you will find life-size replicas of Elvis, the Yeti and pirates! This shop is located right next to Plyler Park and Moe Moon’s, one of the best Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Restaurants.

I Love Sugar

Got a sweet tooth? Then step into I Love Sugar – a new shop in Myrtle Beach filled to the brim with every candy your heart could desire. Colorful and sugar-filled, the walls are lined with giant containers of Jelly Belly® jelly beans. Throughout the candy shop, you’ll also find round tables filled with canisters of gummies, chocolates and more! Grab a bag and fill it up with treats, but be careful, you pay by the weight!

Surf’s Up Beach Shop

Did you forget to pack your swimsuit? Are you looking for a fun Myrtle Beach souvenir to go home with? Surf’s Up Beach Shop has it all. From couple’s matching t-shirts to boogie boards, beachwear and souvenirs, you’ll find something for everyone. This beachwear store also offers henna tattoos and hair wraps!

Boardwalk Beachwear

Another fun beachwear store filled with souvenir gifts, customizable t-shirts and bathing suits is Boardwalk Beachwear. They also offer professional and traditional henna tattoos, hair wraps and feather extensions. Boardwalk Beachwear is located behind the Gay Dolphin facing the ocean.  

Good Vibes

This family-run shop located on the  Boardwalk has unique gifts, souvenirs and clothing. Good Vibes offers a laidback shopping experience with tons of Bohemian-style coverups, bags and more.

Attractions to Visit On The Boardwalk

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Attractions

Myrtle Beach is home to five fantastic Ripley’s attractions. At Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium, gander at shrunken heads, six-legged cows and other fantastically, mind-blowing oddities. Ripley’s other fun-filled, jaw-dropping attractions include the 5D Moving Theater, Haunted Adventure, Marvelous Mirror Maze and Aquarium. There’s truly something for everyone at Ripley’s!

Fun Plaza Arcade

Fun Plaza Arcade has been a Myrtle Beach tradition for more than 80 years. This attraction can send you into game overload with their wide array of new and old games. Try your hand at a vintage game like Skee Ball or check out one of the newer ones like The Walking Dead game. Take your tickets and cash them in for one of the hundreds of prized found their Prize Center. 

Thrill Ride

Get slung 300 feet into the air at speeds of up to 100mph on Myrtle Beach Boardwalk’s famous SlingShot ride! You’ll love watching the playback video of your experience and can even purchase a copy as a souvenir. The SlingShot is just one of many Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Rides you and your family can enjoy. The SlingShot is open from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily and costs $26 per person to ride.

Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures

Another thrilling activity to do on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk – ziplining at Pavilion Park! Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures also offers a 600-foot zipline, a new Adventure Matrix obstacle course and a free-fall drop from 50-feet above the ground. 2nd Avenue Pier

The 2nd Avenue Pier is fun for everyone in the family! Grab a bite to eat at the Wicked Tuna and enjoy gorgeous ocean views. Or stop by the Second Avenue Tackle & Gift Shop and grab the necessities for pier fishing! If you just want to walk, relax and take in the sights, you can do that too!
