It’s Christmas time again and what better way to spend it than a trip to Myrtle Beach. We’ve put together some of the must-see Myrtle Beach Christmas events during the month of December. No matter what time of the month you’re staying there’s a Christmas event every week. Keep scrolling to see if there’s an activity during your stay.
Myrtle Beach Christmas Parades
Unlike colder parts of the country, Myrtle Beach stays warm enough all year to provide outside activities. This includes wonderful, fun-filled Christmas parades just a short drive from South Bay Inn & Suites. The “A Very Broadway Christmas Parade” located at Broadway at the Beach starts at 11 am December 7th. This parade is known to have Christmas-style floats and music. Another parade is located at North Myrtle Beach (30 minutes away from South Bay Inn & Suites) starting at 5:30 pm on December 7th. Given the time frame, it gives people the enjoyment to attend both parades on the same day. Both parades are a great opportunity for families to bring Christmas cheer to life. Just be sure to stop by our Perks 2 Coffee Shop for a coffee or hot cocoa before the parades.
Myrtle Beach Craft Christmas Stores
Need to fulfill any last-minute shopping? Myrtle Beach has craft Christmas stores to check out during your stay. One Myrtle Beach staple is the one and only Christmas Mouse Myrtle Beach location. Christmas Mouse is home to a wonderful assortment of collectibles, accessories, and ornaments. If that doesn’t suit your taste try the ‘Christmas at the Beach store”, located at Broadway at the Beach. These locations are great spots to add Myrtle Beach ornaments to your tree at home.
Looking for Christmas deals? The Market Common, a local shopping center, offers its “Holiday Bazaar” all throughout the month of December. Holiday Bazaar is a seasonal craft vendor event where local businesses offer great deals to savvy shoppers.
Myrtle Beach Christmas Shows
In addition to all the other events, Myrtle Beach is also home to some excellent Christmas shows. Open from November 25th-December 30th The Great Christmas Light Show is a 1.5-mile strip of the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex (15$ per vehicle). It has hundreds of light displays and hosts a Santa’s village at the end of the drive.
Incorporating the true meaning of Christmas, the Alabama theater hosts the renowned show “The South’s Grandest Christmas Show”. Showing from November 1st – December 31st at 2 & 7:30 pm (prices ranging from 40-60$).
